About Yanga

Farmers in Malawi have produce but often lack reliable buyers. Buyers need produce but struggle to find enough of it from farmers they can rely on. Yanga brings the two sides together.

We register and verify farmers and the produce they have available, record what buyers need, how much and by when, and then match supply with demand. Small quantities from different farmers become organised B2B orders, so farmers reach real demand and buyers source the volumes they need.

Know more about us

Digitising the produce supply chain

A verified network of farmers

Yanga field officers register farmers and farmer groups, confirm who they are and where they farm, and record what they have in store. Buyers trade with suppliers we have checked, not strangers.

Real demand, matched and aggregated

Buyers tell us the crop, quantity, quality and delivery date they need. Farmers see that demand and tap “I have this”; Yanga combines small lots from many farms into one order that meets the buyer's volume.

Protected payments, paid to mobile money

Buyers pay through PayChangu by Airtel Money, TNM Mpamba or card. Yanga holds the funds until delivery is confirmed, then pays each farmer their share directly to mobile money.
